A resource for New York District pastors. This ministry helps with media production and consultation in websites, social media, podcasting, and seminar organization. District Media uses emerging technologies to help churches with their ministries to be up to date in the 21st Century.

A few days ago, NYC newspapers and TV reported that “some City Council members are urging the state to add two Muslim holidays to the school calendar, calling it a matter of religious freedom and fairness.” Muslims in New York City range from 600,000 to 850,000 and nearly 6 million live in the USA. Their children comprise about 12 percent of the more than 1.2 million students in NYC public schools. Mayor Bloomberg is resisting the requests. The Pentecostal Evangel on June 27, 2010 featured an article, “Islam in America.” We must be prepared to reach them.

“Pastor J”, as we affectionately call him, came to see us several years ago as he had started to reach the Punjabi language group. Bethlehem Punjabi Church was a brand new church plant. It has been our privilege to walk with him in his neighborhood, hear his heart, and see his vision for these dear people from India.

We have assisted Pastor J with office equipment, furniture, bibles, tracts, outreach teams, networking for new ministry sites, fundraising for the soul-winning and discipleship book “Food for the Spirit” written in Punjabi, programs on Queens Public Television, gifts in kind for Christmas outreaches, and ongoing coaching.

We are excited about this church’s growth and look forward with anticipation to see a great harvest of souls within the Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, and English speaking communities that Pastor J is reaching with God’s love.
