Islam in America
A few days ago, NYC newspapers and TV reported that “some City Council members are urging the state to add two Muslim holidays to the school calendar, calling it a matter of religious freedom and fairness.” Muslims in New York City range from 600,000 to 850,000 and nearly 6 million live in the USA. Their children comprise about 12 percent of the more than 1.2 million students in NYC public schools. Mayor Bloomberg is resisting the requests. The Pentecostal Evangel on June 27, 2010 featured an article, “Islam in America.” We must be prepared to reach them.

You can help! The economic down-turn of the past 2 years has impacted us with a loss of funds that has varied from $1000-1800 per month. Our support base is 115 churches and individuals, and some have had to decrease their support. At the same time, our budget needs have increased! In September we will start our 14th year of missionary service in New York City. Please pray and consider how you can help us in financial partnership.
